Our People

Dr Mirjam Klann Thullesen

Mirjam is the Founder and Director of Lumo Consultancy. She is a Psychologist and Psychotherapist with expertise in psychological trauma and staff wellbeing. For the past 15 years, Mirjam has worked with complex client groups such as refugees and asylum seekers, survivors of trafficking and torture and of other forms of gender based violence. In the UK, she has worked with specialist organisations such as Freedom from Torture, Refugee Council, Nia Project and the Poppy Project. Through working in the trauma field, and through carrying out Doctoral research, she has identified a significant lack of specialist support for practitioners delivering services  to survivors of trauma. She set up Lumo Consultancy in 2018 to address this need.

Mirjam also works in private practice in London and is instructed as an Expert Witness assessing trafficking and modern slavery cases, producing reports used in client’s claims for legal status in the UK.
